Graduate Institute of Mass Communication

The Graduate Institute of Mass Communication at Fu Jen Catholic University was established in 1983.
In the last twenty-five years, the master’s program has more than 270 alumni, who are now pillars in all communication media in Taiwan. To offer advanced study opportunities for communication professionals and media practitioners, a Professional Master’s Program was added in 2006.

Curriculum
The curriculum at the Graduate Institute of Mass Communication can be largely grouped into required courses and elective courses offered along three communication tracks.
I. Required Courses
The aims of required courses are to offer students basic knowledge of communication theories and to develop students' skills in social science research methodologies.
II. Three Communication Tracks
The Graduate Institute offers three learning tracks for students with different interests. Students can develop their own study plans with various courses combinations from these four tracks.
 1. Speech Communication and Cultural Studies
 2. Public Communications
 3. Communication Technology and Media Industry
